Heather Barnard of Chickadee Prints, LLC has been designing for over three years. She started her career working as an amateur designer early 2006. Loving the challenge and beauty in her work she started her own company later in 2006. In the beginning, her business focused on birth announcements, but after being asked to design in other areas, such as weddings, birthdays, and holidays, the business grew. “I absolutely love what I do. I get to create beautiful announcements and invitations for children, families, and friends to share their moments."

Bethann Aurand of Raspberry Creative, LLC has been designing for over eight years. Bethann started her own design studio in 2005. In the beginning her business catered to small and medium businesses exclusively but after being asked to design the invitations for her brother’s wedding, she started branching out. “I fell in love with the idea of designing for the special events in people’s lives. They are all so unique and I feel the announcements, invitations, etc. should reflect that individuality. This has become my favorite area of design because of the freedom and personalization. It enables me to draw inspiration from anywhere; nature, fashion, architecture, and beyond. Chickadee Prints is grateful to Bethann for creating a line of cards exclusive to Chickadee Prints.

Martine Rijnbeek has always been a creative person, so it was not a surprise to anyone when she finally decided she wanted to be an artist. When she was younger, she chose a more secure living and worked in a day care center. Last year, Martine went ahead and started to make her dreams a reality, and took art lessons for a year. She developed a more unique and personal style. She loves using mixed media, paint, ink and pencils, as well as digital art. Sometime she combines the digital world with the drawing world. "Love is the center of my art. It can be the love for another person, but also the love for cupcakes or the loss of a loved one. I like to create girls, full of dreams and a future ahead. I make art to create, but also art to make other people smile."

Maria Teresa “Chai” Lucea started her romance with invitation designing when she first designed invitations for her first child in 2004. Families and friends started asking her to make a customized design for their weddings, baptism, birthday celebrations, even for reunions. She also accepted souvenir design requests, labels, and all other print design services. Maria found out that God has given her a pair of creative eyes and hands; spared her a handful of patience and enthusiasm. From simple to extravagant designs, basing from her design perspective plus the urge to satisfy her clients, many people unknown to her personally seek for her services afterwards. As for Maria, designing is a passion and her outputs are fruits of her soul. Designing is more than a service being paid for; more than a source of income… Her masterpieces are made out of unending dreams translated on canvass.

Joelle Geisler grew up in somewhat rural New York, and after studying art and literature in Boston and Manhattan, found her way to Austin, Texas. She is one of the original members of Pump Project Art Complex, and still keeps a studio there. In addition to keeping her living room free of paint, she gains inspiration from the 30 fellow artists also working in the converted warehouse. An illustrator first, she often incorporates hand-drawn images into her design work, as well. Perhaps learning from her 3 year old art students, she knows that few and simple lines can carry with them huge amounts of personality and whimsy, and works to capture this in everything from embroidery design to custom invitations.
